Format

Players play multiple 3-round segments within their assigned group. Each group has 4 players (last group may have 6). Players determine starts at the beginning of each round.

For segment 1, players are listed in order of their latest SA ratings. The top 4 rated players will be in group 1, and so on.

For segment 2, groups will be based on the results of segment 1. The top 2 players in each group (except group 1) will be promoted and the bottom 2 players in each group (except last group) will be demoted.

For segment 3, groups will be based on the results of segment 2 only (disregard segment 1). Segment 4 (if played) based on segment 3 only.

Prize Structure

Prizes will be awarded first (in decreasing prize value order) to top 2 of group 1, then 2 performance prizes, and finally top 1 of each of the lower groups. For example, a possible prize structure for 20 players (5 groups of 4) will be as follows:

  1. Top 2 group 1 finishers: $50, $40
  2. Performance prizes (other than 1): $30, $20
  3. Top groups 2-5 finishers (other than 2): $15, $15, $15, $15

Prizes 1 and 3 are given based on final segment groupings and only the results of the final segment. Prize 2 is given based on aggregate results of all segments. Each player can only win one prize. The higher value prize takes precedence and its winner will be excluded from the following prize.
