Causeway Youth Team 2026 Qualification Criteria (QC)

Eligibility:

is an SA member, and lives in Singapore, from Nov 2026 (end of qualification period) to Dec 2026 (end of event);
was born on 1 Jan 2009 or later; and
has played at least 17 SA-rated games from 1 Jul 2026 to 30 Nov 2026, or at least 12 SA-rated games from 1 Aug 2026 to 30 Nov 2026.

Games won by reason of opponent's absence (winning byes) count towards the minimum required rated games. Losing byes do not.

Top 10 available eligible players will be invited to Youth Team SG in 30 Nov 2026 rating order.

Disclosure: An earlier version of this criteria was originally published on 17 Jul 2026. The Committee thought that there was insufficient notice for prospective qualifiers to decide on playing the Nationals, and added an alternative qualification period with a reduced number of minimum required rated games, to allow for sufficient notice.

Top 10 available players on the SA Ratings @ end of QP will be invited to Youth Team SG

No. of games: 20 games (Double Round Robin with 10 different opponents from Malaysia.)
Entry fee: RM 200
