2019 SA ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING | NOTICE AND AGENDA
Notice is given that the 2019 Annual General Meeting of the Scrabble Association will commence on 16 March 2019 after the conclusion of the day's play at the Jurong Green CC Open at approx. 6 p.m. Any amendments to date and venue will be emailed to members and also posted to the Events page of Toucanet (www.toucanet.com).
Matters Arising
To consider and adopt the minutes of the 2018 Annual General Meeting. These were circulated in the 2018 1Q issue of this newsletter.
To approve the Audited Accounts for the year ended 31 December 2018. As this newsletter is expected to go to print before the accounts are finalized, the audited accounts will be circulated at the earliest opportunity before the AGM, preferably in the next issue of this newsletter.
To elect a member of committee to fill a vacancy until the 2020 AGM. The committee thanks Shahrul Kamal who stepped down in April 2018 due to heavy work commitments.
To elect two new Honorary Auditors for the year to 31 December 2019. Many thanks to Yong Jian Rong and Goutham Jayaraman for serving as Honorary Auditors for 2018.
Any Other Business
To discuss with a view to resolving date of adoption of the updated word list. WESPA has announced that the new edition of Collins Scrabble Words will be released in May 2019 and recommends adoption in July 2019. It will be used for the 2019 WESPA Championship.
