Selection Criteria
The eight spots will be given to eight highest-ranked
players at the end of the WYSC qualifying period based on SA
ratings who fulfil all the eligibility criteria above.
An exception is if the winner of Singapore National Championship (to be held in July) is eligible for WYSC. In which case, the Singapore National Champion 2007 will be given one of the eight spots, and the remaining spots will go to the next highest ranked eligible players (excluding the national champion) at the end of the WYSC qualifying period.
Reserves will also be selected, as possible replacements for any of the Singapore representatives in the event that any of the representatives are not able to play in the WYSC. Reserves will be the next-highest-rated player(s) who are eligible as determined by the same eligibility criteria above.
If any of the WYSC spots is vacant because the player declines or becomes ineligible, the spot will be offered to the reserves in rating order.
